First and foremost I want to say thank you to USP for bringing me on the team, and giving me this opportunity.



Situation
Currently headed to NPC Texas nationals with my girlfriend for her show, then taking a little vacation after that, and thenn it will be back on the grind with prep starting in January for My first show in May. Coach has food and gear pulled back for a few weeks to give things a little rest. Will pull labs after vacation before we push again.



Background
I’m 36, been using gear since my late 20’s. ICU Nurse, night shift weekends, so my sleep schedule is all over the place. The majority of that time I used “low doses” 400mg test + 350 primo style “cycles”. I took about a year off from training in 2023-2024 and it brought back my passion for training. Nov 2024 I hired a coach and I’ve been with him for a year. I cut down hard right before we started together stopped the cut at 220lbs, in the last year we pushed up to 264,

And have come back down to 245 currently during this pull back.

What am I taking?
Test 300mg a week until prep.

During prep:
750 test e
400 eq
400 primo
(Later will pull EQ, add mast then tren)

1mg BPC sub Q - daily

4mg TB500 sub q - weekly

Saturday- Arms/Chest

High Days

Medium Days

Show day for the lady. Been up since 4 to get her squared away for the day. Tan, hair, make-up, and food ready to go for her.

This show is huge so gotta be prepared for all timelines!

On days like today I stick to my low day macros. I’m sure there will be plenty of walking around but no training so we stay low.

Trained at absolute recomp here in Dallas yesterday. Some of the best equipment I’ve ever seen. Panatta everything. The overall gym atmosphere wasn’t my style, but the equipment was sick. Didn’t follow my normal routine, just went along with the Lady and her full body pump for the sake of time:

DB Lateral raise 3 x12-15
DB front raise 3x 12-15
DB shoulder press 3x 12-15
Reverse pec dec 3x12-15

Wide grip Lat Pull down 3x12-15
Straight arm pull downs 3x 12-15

I don’t know if everything is bigger in Texas… but I’m for damn sure the bodybuilders are!!

First: the lady took 14th out 30 in her class. She had some peaking issues, as it goes, but most importantly she’s only been training for 10 months and made second call outs in the largest national show there is. She’s pissed, but I’m proud looool she’s already working out the next years plan with her coach. Competitiveness and drive is so damn sexy. 😮‍💨😮‍💨

A few thoughts on nationals:

If you’re curious about competing, go to a show. Go to the biggest show you can find around you. Understand the journey you’re embarking on… it’s years in the making, it’s hours in the gym, it’s days of monotony… for your 5 min on stage and MAYBE a little square card that says IFBB pro. What are you doing it for? Because if it’s for that card…yo will most likely be disappointed. But if it’s because you love the process, the pain, the discipline, and
Training… well then let’s fucking get after it


I may not ever be the size of these Texas nationals boys… but I sure as shit can be my best self and bring my best package knowing I left no stone unturned and gave my best effort.

Okay. Nationals/ competing rant over:

Vacation mode- on. Still going to be active, walking, probably get some pump workouts in a couple days. Won’t track macros, but won’t eat like an asshole.

Spent all day yesterday traveling, I always train light weight the next several days after traveling. After mostly a week off I will start my training cycle over at week 1.

Back to work tonight, I work weekend nights so my schedule gets a little weird the next couple days.

Wake up 0700.
0900 train.
The grocery store.
Eat.
Meal prep for the weekend.
Nap until 1600.
Get ready for work.
On shift 1900-0700.

Slept like absolute shit, so staying light and easy in the gym today. Will be pulling labs after the Christmas to make sure we’re green light for full speed ahead.

Rest day.

Back to work tonight and slept pretty well today.

Appetite has been ravenous since getting back from Mexico. Took 10 off from Reta during my trip and I guess it was suppressing my appetite more than I realized at 1mg.

I was still getting hungry and able to hit my macros easily, but I just wasn’t really thinking about food. I had previously titrated up to 1.75mg weekly and felt like it made me feel very “blah” just kinda of uninterested in anything, almost like a depressed feeling. That went away quickly by coming back down to 1mg a week.

I think the biggest impact I’ve seen from Reta has been on my Gut. I don’t feel like I’m battling my GI tract at all anymore. I also have been taking 1mg of BPC and KPV orally which I’m sure is helping.

I’ve purposefully held off on getting labs until I had been on Reta for about 8 weeks to see their effects. I will post the results of the draw after Christmas.

I work an extra tomorrow, but ready to be back to my normal training schedule and intensity tomorrow.
